The Blue Gray Historical Group grew out of a desire by a group of five gentlemen to put together a diverse group of people who love history, especially the rich history of Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee. The of this undertaking result is the Blue Gray Historical Group an organization that was chartered in 2002 and incorporated in 2004. The organizations goals are simple: To prompt local area Colonial, Antebellum and Civil War history to the public. To ensure the preservation of the 'TRUE' history and lore for following generations to come.
